Hi loves! While I am in my mid-twenties, one thing that I have never indulged in is coffee. Yep, you read right. I never started to drink coffee under recently. Because I have a sweet tooth, frappuccinos are now my new best friend. As much as I love my Starbucks fraps, the cost of getting one every single week can add up very fast. Luckily, I have a recipe that will help you get your coffee fix with half the amount of sugar and a fraction of the cost.
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup of coffee (feel free to add more as desired)
1 cup of almond milk
1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder (optional)
Add the almond milk, frozen banana and coffee to your blender. If you decide to use whey protein powder, be sure to add this last to ensure that the powder is distributed evenly. I like to use Designer Whey Vanilla Protein Powder. It does not leave your smoothie grainy from the powder. You can add ice if you want but I find that the frozen banana gives the smoothie a creamier texture. Add a pinch of cinnamon for looks and you are all set. Enjoy!
