Express Embellished Military Jacket

If you were streaming NYFW live the way I was you saw a lot of bold trends. One of the them is the return of military styled jackets. Being the Michael Jackson fan that I am, I always look at these pieces and think of his looks when he would perform on stage. Nonetheless, I found a military jacket that is petite friendly and presently on sale at a great price!

The embossed buttons and the embroidery of this piece is what stole my heart. This jacket is so chic and gives a fun, classy look that can be enjoyed at any event or occasion. I decided to style this jacket with a wine colored sleeveless lace top from LC Lauren Conrad. I then decided to add to the look with a pair of high-waisted jeans (to make my short legs look longer). Because I love adding sparkle to my look, I chose to wear a studded pair of black booties from JLO’s brand at Kohls. If you have a wider foot, I would recommend getting a half a size up. I am usually a size 6 when it comes to shoes and size 6 in these boots were a little too small. I ended exchanging them in for a size 6.5.

I decided to style my hair with a bun to make myself look even taller. I have a rose set ponytail in my bun to give a flirty look. I was not able to find the piece online but if you go to your local Forever 21 store, check out the racks that have hair accessories. I am sure you will find it there. I hope you all have as much fun as I am having with this jacket. It is machine washable. When you are dying it, be sure to leave it on a low tumble setting to preserve the buttons of this piece.

Happy Shopping! xoxo.
