I want to give a huge shoutout my talented friend Katie from Katie Vee Photography for helping me with this shoot. I have known Katie for several years now. When we got acquainted, she was just starting her photography business. She is the one that got me to love modeling and fashion. Years later, we have both grown up so much professionally and personally. Let Katie be an example that if you work hard and follow your passion, success is within your grasp.

When it comes to fashion, you HAVE to step out of your comfort zone. I have seen a few articles that feature dresses and sneakers paired together as a new, trendy looks. So I decided to give this look a try And let’s face it, we bloggers and fashionistas can only last in heels for so long. It jut goes to show that even sneakers can be dressed up if styled properly.

Open jackets like the one I have featured in this post are great to pair with a chiffon top, dress or even button up shirt and jeans. I chose to complete my look with a ring large bucket bag by Lauren Conrad. Let me tell you, this is a Mary Poppins bag if you will. You can store so much in this bag without it feeling like it is going to weigh you down.

Dress: Banana Republic; similar option in gray here

Jacket: Halogen

Sneakers: Converse

Bag: LC Lauren Conrad

Love, love, love this look and these pictures are so stunning. You’re so right, we can only wear those heels for so long before the timer starts to go off. I love how sleek these sneakers are. They are the perfect compliment to your look. Have a beautiful day girl. xo

I love this look and you are so right when you say that we need to step out and try new trends. The sneakers go well with the dress, I can’t wait to pair sneakers with my next dress too. Thanks for the idea!
