How to Wear Mixed Prints Like a Pro

Top: INC International Concepts // Skirt: Banana Republic // Shoes: Hinge  // Clutch: Francesca’s; similar here

Hi loves! Mixing prints is something that many of us afraid to do. And rightfully so! It can be intimidating to try to mix two prints that do not look exactly the same. Thankfully, I have some tips to help you mix prints while staying true to you sense of style:

  • Pick prints that share a color. For my look, the color I choose was blue. I love floral tops and like many of you, I love the off the shoulder trend! By mixing a blue floral print with a blue striped shirt, I am able to achieve a look that is chic and can even be pulled off as a dress (even though this is a top and skirt).
  • When in doubt, match colors! This a trick that will always be pleasing to the eye and will make it far easier for you to find pieces that work well together.
  • Spice up your look with a pop of color! For my look, I did not want the color blue to be overbearing. So add your favorite shade of lipstick to compliment your look with a little extra sass.
  • Accessorize with naturals. Mastering how to mix prints takes time. If you are diving into mixing prints for the first time, keep your accessories neutral to complement your mixed prints.

xoxo
