I LOVE autumn. It’s the one time of year where I can wear layers and don’t get make fun it for it (I am not kidding, I am always cold lol). As such, if you are ever in NJ & NY, you have to take some time to apple and pumpkin picking. I have a list of some of my favorite places to go to for you to explore.
Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery: There is more to this winery that its wine tasting. If you are looking to do some apple or pear picking, the orchards will keep you occupied. I love coming this up because it doesn’t get too crowded. I am not much of a wine drinker but if you are, you can always do some wine tasting after 😉
Tranquility Farms: This is the perfect farm for a family outing! This is a farm that truly offers everything. You can take a hayride to the pumpkin patches or if you are not able to, pick one from their market stand. There is also a corn maze, a massive jump pillow and cow train for kids to enjoy.
Melrick’s Town Farm: A hidden gem in northern New Jersey that offers several orchards of apples for you to pick. On your way to the orchards, you can enjoy a hayride by beautiful horses and charming wooden baskets to put in your sweet fruit. Their farm stand offers you a chance to purchase local wine, cheese and honey. This is a great farm to go to if you want to avoid a crowded farm.
Alstede Farms: Another great farm in northern New Jersey that offers everything. There are dozens of apple orchards to pick from. Additionally, you can also pick pumpkins from their pumpkin field and take a stroll through their sunflower maze. I recommend getting to the farm early. This is a farm well-known in the area and it can get busy!
