It’s been a while since I have had the chance to do studio photos. ^_^

Ah Valentine’s Day! Whether you are single or taken, this is a day to dress up in something that makes you look and feel amazing. So this Valentine’s Day, make it special. Whether this means you are are staying in the night or going out to your favorite restaurant, make an effort to have a good time.  You deserve it!

The dress I am wearing is Karen Kane’s scalloped lace sheath dress. This dress will hug the curves of your body without feeling heavy. I love the V-neck and the sheer sleeves. The sleeve are quarter lengthened which makes this Karen Kane dress perfect for a winter date night.

The moment I put this on, my boyfriend insisted that I purchase it. So take it from me ladies, if you want to turn heads, this is the dress to rock. Petite ladies don’t need to fret because this is a dress that also come in petite sizes. Keep in mind that this dress also comes in two other colors (in case black is not something you want to wear on Valentine’s Day). When it comes time to wash this piece, be sure to hand wash it under cold water. You don’t want to mess with the exquisite lace on the dress!

I went with a nude pink lipstick (‘Baci‘ by Stila) for this look. But feel free to glide on some red lipstick (I love ‘Beso‘ by Stila and ‘American Doll‘ by Anastasia Beverly Hills). A special night out calls for a unique clutch. My go-to date night clutch is sold out but there is a similar one available here. Slip into your favorite suede pumps and your Valentine’s Day outfit is complete.

Take my advice and make sure to enjoy your Valentine’s Day. We all deserve  day to spend with the people we love most. After all, it is our friends and family that brings out our best selves. I have also linked some additional Valentine’s Day dress ideas below.

Nothing like a getaway to warmer weather to take away winter blues. I am beyond grateful to have had a chance to experience a cruise for the first time while also getting a chance to go to Mexico. While I was away, I knew I wanted to enjoy an outfit that is full of color and vibrancy. Thankfully, J Crew had just the top I needed for this trip.

The ruffle sleeve top I am wearing is by J Crew. It is made of polyester. I must say when I first received this top, I was very surprised. The material feels very similar to one of a rain coat (a top compliant from other buyers). Regardless, the polyester is super light and is so much fun to wear (not to worry, I was not paid to say that). The material will keep you cool if you are planning to venture to some place warm. The color of this piece is SO vibrant (seriously, the photos don’t do the color of this piece justice). If you do not like vibrant neon colors, I would recommend straying away from this top. I am telling you, this is a strikingly vibrant top! Don’t say I did not warn you 😉

The ruffle sleeves of this top give adds a fun, flirty elements to it. To preserve the color of this pieces, I will be dry cleaning it. Polyester can be damanged easily in your washing machine. The demin shorts I am wearing are by Lauren Conrad via Kohls. To finish my look, I went with a cork styled clutch and my favorite pair of pink sunglasses. If you yourself are planning on getting away, this is a fun outfit to put together and is effortlessly chic.

Stay tuned for more look from my getaway to Mexico later this week!

Bracelet: Boho Betty

Dress: Free People

Bikini top: Topshop

Bikini bottom: Topshop

You can never have too many floral dresses right? I am woman who has to wear business casual styled clothing on a weekly basis. So I have so much fun diving into bohemian styled clothing from time to time. While I was on vacation, I felt like a bohemian princess in this Free People tunic dress featured in this post.

The floral pattern is so flirty and fun. The asymetrical hem of the dress makes it a great piece for petites. While I was on vacation, I also used the dress as a cover up. When I wear this dress, I like to a strapless bra or bandeu. My favorite part about this dress delicate sheer crochet detailing that is found on the front of the dress and on the sleeves. . It’s so feminine and sweet! While this dress does have long sleeves, it is light. Needless to say, this is a dress that is perfect for a beach day or to take with you on vacation.

The bracelet that I have featured in this shoot is Boho Betty’s Ella Fitzgerald wrap bracelet.   I have also added some jewelry for you to pair with this dress for a night out or festival look. If you are heading somewhere warm in the next month or two, I recommend this dress to stand out and feel confident in. Hope you all have an awesome week!

Top: J Crew (runs small – wearing in size 0) | Shorts: Paige (runs large, wearing in size 25)

Cheers to a new weekend! I hope you all had an incredible week. The end is near on my vacation to sunny Jamaica. As sad as I am to leave, I can say that this has been one of the best trips with my crazy second family. I can’t wait to tell you all about it in my next post. My next post will also feature some of the best restaurants to try with a little help from my boyfriend Patrick. He’s been coming here for 12 years, so he has quite a few recommendations.

Nights in Jamaica can get really chilly. As such, this J Crew Striped long sleeve off the shoulder top was a great idea to pack. This piece is so versatile. I cannot wait to re-style it when we head back home to colder weather. The piece is made out of cotton so it is machine washable. The shorts I am wearing are by Paige. I love Paige from Nordstrom so much (seriously, I have three pairs of jeans and shorts from them. I can never get enough). I am wearing Paige ‘Jimmy Jimmy’ Denim Shorts in Atticus. I love these shorts because of the medium blue color. Plus, the cut is in a boyfriend styled jean so it’s not super tight. Keep in mind that these Jimmy Jimmy shorts run a little larger. I am usually a size 27. I had to purchase these in a size 25. These I chose to put my red lipstick aside and went with a raspberry color instead. I am wearing Bacca by Stila cosmetics.

If you are planning a getaway, I have also added some of my favorite bathing suit options below. Thank you so much for taking the time to read. Feel free to leave a comment below. I would love to hear where you are planning your next trip.

Nothing beats a day at the beach. This week, I have the blessing of getting away from the hardness of winter by instead enjoying the beautiful sunsets of Jamaica. So as I was deciding on what to pack, I knew I wanted to incorporate pieces that are full of color. Believe it or not, I had a hard time finding pieces for this trip because the limited selection I had back in Jersey.

Chocker: Boho Betty snow white quad wrap

What caught my eye when I came across this bell-sleeved dress was that pattern and the color. The dress is by Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren. The vibrant red is so much fun to wear! I LOVE the sweeping bell sleeves. Additionally, this is a piece that features an empire waist. So if you are self cautious about your mid-selection (like I am) this is a dress that will hide it without making you look bigger. This dress is very light which is perfect to wear on a hot day.  If you are not a fan of super short dresses, this is a piece that works just as well as a cover up.  The chocker I am featuring in this post is by Boho Betty. It is actually one of their single wrap bracelets from their classic collection. I have also included links to the bikini top and bottom and cover up from Target that I featured on my latest Instagram post.

I am wearing this piece in size S . This is a dress that is delicate, so I do recommend that you hand wash it. It does say on the tag that this is a piece that you can machine wash but I am not taking an chances – I love it too much! 😉 Are you going away in the next month or two? Where to? Let me a comment below!

Each and every year offers 365 days of opportunities to grow. 2016 has certainly kept me on my toes. Nonetheless, this year has been a whirl wind of moments (both good and bad). Here is what 2016 has taught me:

Pursue what you love.

One of the hardest challenges I have been facing in the past few years is pursuing my favorite hobbies and passions. Upon entering college, I chose to give up the possibility of a career in music. In doing so, I was miserable while pursing a career in business. I felt like a major part of my life was taken away and that there was nothing I could do to feel whole again. I was terribly wrong. If you love something, the only thing that will stop you from achieving your dreams is you. While I am not pursuing a career in business, I chose to start this fashion blog after I finished college. It’s not easy to run a blog, but now I have something that allows me to create content. I look forward to writing up my blog posts and  setting up photoshoots. My blog is not about vanity. It is about a small town girl that loves fashion (who is petite) and wants to show other girls who may have not come from a well-off middle class family that you can pursue your dreams. My journey to success is far from over. But then again, great time take time.

Cherish your family and friends.

It is so easy to take your family and friends for granted. I should know, because I do this far too often. I am the first to admit that I am terrible at texting people back (or keeping in contact in general). Because of my rigorous work schedule and the time I put into my blog, it has been difficult to stay in touch with my family and friends. But not impossible. Anytime I catch myself spending too much time scrolling through Facebook or Instagram, I make an effort to reach out to my friends or family. We all have time to reach out to our loved ones. Let’s take the time in 2017 to be a good friend/sister/cousin/girlfriend to the people that mean most to us.

It’s ok to mourn the loss of a loved one.

Everyone mourns the loss of a loved one differently. During times of grief, it is important to put judgement aside and be a shoulder to cry on for anyone who is in grief. This year, I lost a father figure who meant the world to me. It seemed like he left at the absolute worst time because I felt like I needed him more than even this year. There were so many moment this year that I felt defeated. I miss him so much and honestly, I spent a lot of time crying. I now have accepted that he is gone and make an every effort to make him proud into 2017. We all are going to have days where we don’t feel like we are enough for our friends, family, bosses, etc. The fact of the matter is that we all need to give ourselves credit-we are all doing great! So what if your plan for your life did not turn out exactly how you wanted? Improvise and adjust your plan as needed. Life is not always going to go the way you want it to. It’s up to you to make the most of all situations-good or bad.

Stay humble and kind.

I am not going to discuss politics. I did, however, see a lot of nastiness and cruelty all over my social media that frankly broke my heart. Look, we are not going to see eye-to-eye with everyone we encounter. Still, just because we have the freedom of speech in America that does not mean you have to go out of your way to be nasty. We have one too many people in this world who are selfish, greedy, and rude. Why be like everyone else when you can stand out (on the inside and out). Plus let’s face it, we gain nothing from spending time angry and upset all the time.

I hope you all have a fantastic New Year! To all my followers, friends, and family who have supported my blog this year, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This blogging thing sure is a lot of work, but I am enjoying every minute of it!
